Our headhunting process

Client Briefing

Phase 1

A detailed client briefing with you is arranged at your convenience and chosen location. Particular emphasis will be placed on learning about the best personality and cultural fit, achieved through a thorough understanding of your organisation, team and structure.

We will explore your requirements in detail using our expertise in the relevant field. We will discuss your target lists and requirements. This meeting allows us to go away and combine this knowledge with our market experience to present a bespoke headhunting solution which meets your needs.

Project proposal agreed

Phase 2 We will compose a project proposal confirming the outcome of our client briefing: costs of our retained search or selection, the project plan with regards to time frame and delivery, and our guarantees to you. The process will take four weeks and we always deliver on time.

As part of this we will also send you an assignment brief and a confirmed target list of companies that we will headhunt in to. This is part of our open consultative process and key so that all our clients are aware of, and agree with, our processes and plans.

Research and search

Phase 3 Our multi-lingual research teams dedicate the first week to sourcing the exact candidates which meet your brief.

After initial pre-selection the research team pass those qualifying to Expedite’s director to approach confidentially. They are then pre-screened in detail with a specific emphasis on skills fit, candidate fit with clients’ long term business plans, their career ambitions and cultural fit to the organisation. Successful candidates are then approached by our director in person.

Interviewing and Assessment

Phase 4 Once the initial approaches have been made to the most suitable candidates, we will conduct a thorough, rigorous and prompt interview process. This will include personality profile and psychometric testing, should you wish us to do so.
At the end of week four we will present you with the shortlist of the most suitable candidates. This will include a detailed report on each of the short-listed candidates with their suitability, experience, remuneration expectations and aspirations.

Selection and induction

Phase 5 Once a preferred candidate has been identified, we will work in close partnership with you to secure their services and help them start as soon as possible.
We will keep in close contact with the candidate during the intervening period between job offer and start date to ensure that the candidate is ready to start the role on the agreed date. With our client's agreement, we will track the candidate once they have started in the role to ensure that there are no teething problems and to ensure a smooth induction and long term placement success.
